DETECTIVES investigating the murder of a father-of-three on the driveway of his Hillingdon home made an appeal on BBC Crimewatch last night.

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, appeared in the studio to talk about the murder in February of 38-year-old Redwan El-Ghaidouni.

Mr El-Ghaidouni's parents, Mokhtar and Fatima, also appealed for anyone who can help to come forward.

A substantial £50,000 reward remains on offer for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or people responsible for Mr El-Ghaidouni's murder.

He was shot as he sat in the driver's seat of his car on the driveway of the home he shared with his partner and three children in Vine Lane, Hillingdon, just before 7pm on Tuesday February 3.

After he pulled into his driveway from work at a car dealership, he was approached by a man who shot him multiple times through the car window, before running off through an alleyway that leads to Saunders Road.

He turned the corner where he was caught on one CCTV camera before running in the direction of Dowding Road.

The man was wearing a distinctive dark hooded top with a large motif on the front, dark bottoms, dark gloves and dark shoes or trainers.

An e-fit image has been released of a man seen an hour before Redwan was murdered, at about 6pm, standing on the verge by a telegraph pole at the junction of St Andrews Road and Vine Lane, opposite Mr El-Ghaidouni's house.

DCI McHugh said: "We are making good progress and continue to follow up a number of lines of enquiry but we need the public's help to identify the man who shot Redwan.

"Redwan had been linked to criminality and drug importation in the past. I am sure his murder remains widely talked about in criminal circles and I would urge anyone with information to approach us in the strictest confidence.

"There is a lot of money available for those who can help us and I hope this may encourage someone to provide information to take our enquiries further forward.

"This was clearly a well-planned murder and it is likely the gunman would have had help - if you were involved on the periphery of this brutal crime please come and speak to us or Crimestoppers anonymously."

Anyone with any information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8785 8099 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org.

BBC Crimewatch is available to watch on BBC iPlayer until 9pm today, November 17.
