A 29-year-old man has denied wounding a chip shop manager who was left with multiple injuries after being repeatedly stabbed.
Leon McTaggart, from Birmingham, will face trial in June after pleading not guilty to wounding Narinder Sidhu with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
Mr Sidhu, 51, suffered what were described as "horrific" injuries after a dispute at Simply Fish and Chips in the Quinton area of the West Midlands on November 6 last year.
McTaggart, of Hagley Road, Edgbaston, also denied a charge of possessing an offensive weapon when he appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court via a video-link from HMP Woodhill.
His trial, which is expected to last for up to four days, will begin at the same court on June 8.
The attack on Mr Sidhu prompted the Crimestoppers charity to offer a reward of up to £2,000 for information about the offence.
