A female law student has denied murdering a minicab dispatcher who died after being stabbed in the neck earlier this year.
Nargis Riaz, 21, appeared before the Old Bailey via video link with her co-accused Gulam Chowdhury, 23, over the death of Yasser Afzal.
The 22-year-old victim, of Forest Gate in east London, was attacked while working at E20 Cars in Broadway, Stratford. He was taken to an east London hospital by ambulance but died of his injuries.
Riaz broke down in tears as she pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Afzal on March 24. Chowdhury did not enter a plea to the same charge.
The case was adjourned until a further hearing on November 14 and a date was fixed for March 16 next year for a three-week trial.
The defendants, both from Barking, east London, were were remanded in custody.
