Masked robbers tied up shop workers and stole cash and cigarettes in a violent raid on Sunday.

Three masked men attacked a male member of staff and restrained him and female colleague at One Stop convenience store in Cross Road, Tadworth.

The robbers threatened the shop workers, in their 30s, and snatched an unknown quantity of cash and cigarettes between 7am and 7.15am.

Police are now hunting for the men who all wore dark hoodies, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

CCTV images have been released of two Asian men and a black man, with white trainers.

Police would also like to trace witnesses who saw a dark blue small or medium sized car in the area which could have been the getaway car.

They also want to speak with an elderly lady who parked her car and went inside the shop at the time because she may be a key witness.

The male shop worker's injuries are not believed to be serious, but both shop workers were left shaken.

Detective Constable Audrey Cumiskey, said: "This was an appalling incident which left the both victims physically shaken and we are doing everything possible to find those responsible.

"We believe that a number of people were passing the shops at around the time of the robbery and I would urge anyone in the vicinity who saw anything suspicious or anyone who thinks they may recognise the men in the CCTV images to contact officers with information as a matter of urgency."

Men matching the description of the robbers were seen in the area on Friday morning, Saturday morning and Saturday evening.

DC Cumiskey added: "Similarly, anyone else who has seen any suspicious behaviour in the area in the days leading up to the incident should also call police - any information could prove vital to the investigation.

"After an offender has committed a crime of this nature they will often act in an unusual manner and I would appeal to anyone who has their suspicions around a family member or friend to share this information with detectives.

"I understand, that for whatever reason, sometimes people like to give information on crime anonymously and this can be done through the independent charity Crimestoppers.

"No doubt this robbery will unnerve other local store workers and I would urge anyone affected by the incident to contact their safer neighbourhood team on 101 where they will be able to obtain safety and security advice.

"This information is also available on the Surrey Police website."
