Thousands called for an end to what they called 'biased' reporting by the BBC when it comes to Palestine.
A 'Drive for Justice convoy' set off from Blackburn, Lancashire today and made its way towards the BBC offices at MediaCityUK in Salford.'
The peaceful protest and convoy took two hours to reach its destination as more vehicles from across the UK joined up.
Organisers had been hoping to attract a thousand protesters but the number was close to five times that figure.
The event was organised by members of youth group ‘Youth on a mission’ and other activists who called for the BBC and other organisations to report on the victims on the Palestinian side of the conflict.
The protest was organised in only ten days.
As the event drew to a close about forty protestors who had joined the demonstration tried to enter the BBC building but were held by volunteer marshalls and complex security.
In the recent conflict these mainstream media organisations are said not to have focussed on the brutal aggression against the Palestinians in Gaza.
