Two councillors have helped to raise funds for a Church Food bank.
Councillors Hasina Khan, daughter Zara Khan and volunteers collected goods on behalf of Chorley’s Muslim community for the Living Waters Church Food bank.
Cllr Zara Khan said, “The younger community were really helpful during the collections. We would like to thank all those who donated.”
Cllr Hasina Khan said, “We normally host a charity Iftar but couldn’t get the venue this year. So we decided to collect for the Food bank as a gesture from the Muslim community.”
