IMO in partnership with the local NHS are providing a new service for individuals in the community who have a long-term health condition.

This service aims to support those with a long-term condition in managing their health and day-to-day life, with the aid of cognitive behavioural therapy.

Some long-term health conditions include; Asthma, Diabetes, Eczema, Arthritis, Cancer and COPD.

Long-term health conditions that the individual may be living with could be undiagnosed too, for example muscular pain, which affects them in their day-to-day life, activities or job etc. .

This course is open to men and women – 18+. It is a 4-week course, run in sessional groups or on a 1-1 basis through Lancashire Women’s Centre.

IMO can arrange suitable venues or work around dates to accommodate what suits you best. Translators will be present to assist individuals – Urdu, Punjabi and Gujarati.

This course is recommended as a support group – which educates the individual in the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to improve wellbeing.
