A SIKH temple has this week held its first summer school to help children keep busy over the summer break.
The Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara on Leeds Road has welcomed around 35 children each day this past week, allowing them to take part in events such as dodgeball, football, arts and crafts and facepainting.
The club ran from Monday to Friday, and organisers say the week has proven popular with local children, especially on some of the more rain soaked days of the school holidays.
They hope to hold a similar club next summer.
