FOOTAGE has emerged of a major police operation taking place in Bradford on Monday night.
Videos show armed officers and a number of police vehicles on Oak Lane in Manningham, which was cordoned off at its junction with St Mary’s Road.
One video shows a man coming out of the house on the street before being searched.
It is understood that the search focused on two properties on the street.
In a statement today, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Armed police attended two addresses in Bradford at about 5pm yesterday to carry out firearms warrants following a report of an incident where a man is alleged to have had a gun pointed at him.
“The incident was reported to have happened in Thorn Lane at about 5.20pm on May 28.
“Properties in Oak Lane and Devonshire Terrace were searched and a number of people were spoken to, but no arrests were made and no weapon was located.
“While carrying out these searches police received a report of gunshots being heard in Marlborough Road at about 6.30pm.
“Firearms officers attended and found a white Porsche Panamera vehicle in Carlisle Road with damage to the front passenger door.
“The vehicle was recovered for further forensic examination.
“These incidents are believed to be linked and inquiries are continuing to locate the suspects involved.
“Anyone who can assist these enquiries is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting log 1475 of 29 May.
“Information can also be given anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
