POLICE have released images of two men they want to identify following an assault on a bus which left a man with serious head injuries.

The incident happened on the top deck of the 640 bus at Bradford Interchange on Tuesday, February 21, at around 8.45pm.

A 20-year-old man was struck with an object repeatedly in the attack, which is believed to have been unprovoked.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have information about the two males to come forward.

Detective Inspector Alan Weekes, of Bradford District CID, said: "This was a shocking incident where a man was struck repeatedly with an object in what appears to be an unprovoked attack.

"He is continuing to recover from his injuries at home and has spoken to our officers about what happened.

"We believe this attack involved three males and our enquiries are continuing to trace those responsible.

"We also believe that others may have seen the males as they left the bus while it was still parked at the Interchange."
