TWO 15-year-old boys suffered serious leg injuries in a crash in Bolton Road, Bradford.

The pair were in a black Citroen Saxo which crashed into a wall on Saturday afternoon.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said no other vehicles or people were believed to have been involved in the crash, which was reported to police shortly before 2pm.

Investigations are continuing.

Road safety campaigner Amjad Malik, whose 15-year-old son Saliq was killed in a high speed crash in 2014, said the two boys were lucky to be alive.

He said: "They have both had operations, one has a broken fibula and the other, his hip popped out.

"We need to calm down with our driving on these roads, the impact speed of the crash was about 54 miles per hour.

"They must have been coming round the bend doing between 60mph and 70mph in a 30mph zone.

"We are trying to save lives not ruin lives. It brings back some bad memories and it's lucky there was no one else involved otherwise it would have been a lot worse.

"Those two are lucky to be alive, an inch either way they could have been killed."
