A REPORT into anti-Semitism in the Labour Party has found it “is not overrun by anti-Semitism, Islamophobia or other forms of racism”.

But Labour members should “resist the use of Hitler, Nazi and Holocaust metaphors”, it says.

The review, carried out by Shami Chakrabarti, was begun in the wake of the suspension of Bradford West MP Naz Shah (pictured) and former London mayor Ken Livingstone.

But the review did not make any recommendations about their future in the party.

A Labour investigation into social media comments made by Ms Shah before she became an MP is due to conclude next week.

Ms Shah has apologised in Parliament for comments she made about Israel, saying she accepted she had caused “upset and hurt to the Jewish community”.
