Police say they are investigating claims after a young girl was approached by a driver in Blackburn.
A WhatsApp message circulated recently asks the community to be on their guard after a young girl was said to have been chased by a man in a van.
Police told Asian Image they have had a report of an incident involving a 13-year-old girl that took place at approximately 3.25pm on 26 November along Revidge Road, Blackburn.
According to police a white van was parked on the same side of the road and as she passed the window was wound down and a man shouted at her.
As she carried on a man got out of the van.
Police say there was no abduction attempt.
The man is described described as white, aged in his 30s, brown or blond hair, skinny build, clean shaven wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
Police say would still urge people to be vigilant and report anything suspicious to the police on 101.
