Police today said they had confirmed the identity of a woman who stabbed herself to death in a Shipley supermarket yesterday.
She was aged 36 and lived in the town but police have not yet released her name.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Nicholson, of Bradford CID, said: "As there are no suspicious circumstances a file has been prepared and passed to coroner and an inquest is expected to be opened in due course where the identity will be confirmed.
"Officers would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in helping to identify the woman."
Police were called to the Asda store in Manor Lane, Shipley, shortly after 8.30am yesterday following a report of a woman being found with serious injuries.
The woman had stabbed herself in the throat with a knife she had taken from a rack in the hardware aisle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
