A Southall-based domestic violence group has been handed a reprieve while the council takes more time to decide the future of their funding.
The Southall Black Sisters had faced losing Ealing Council funding from today, with councillors due to approve a new borough-wide service for sufferers of domestic violence at a meeting this evening.
However, officers have asked for more time to make a recommendation for which group should receive the £100,000 a year funding. The council has now granted two months of extra funding to SBS to maintain services until a decision is finalised.
