Name: Nicholas Perry

Candidate for: Hastings & Rye

Party: Liberal Democrat

Votes: 7,825

Why I want to be an MP: I moved to Hastings in 2007 and now live on the West Hill with my family.
I work for a rapid-response mental health team which covers the east side of East Sussex so I know the whole of our constituency well.
I hold degrees from Cambridge and London universities and won a blue for rugby league and an England Students cap.
I have the skills, energy and tenacity to be a great MP.
For the past 13 years, I have worked in social care and research, fighting family poverty in the UK.
I will be a strong voice in Westminster for the people of Hastings and Rye.
The Liberal Democrats are fighting for a fairer Britain, and nowhere is that more important than in Hastings and Rye.
I want to use my skills to fight for a better future for our constituency.

Marital status: Co-habiting
Preston, Lancashire, 1976

Occupation: Registered social worker (mental health)
