A charity worker who aims to make the lives of ill children better through donations and gifts was named the AMT Lawyers sponsored Woman of the Year Fusion 2014.
Wendy has helped countless children through her fundraising efforts.
Wendy has been working with various charities and volunteering for over 20 years.
In 2009 she launched the Frost Foundation in the hope of helping children who are disadvantaged through illness, sickness or circumstance
She is backed by a team of volunteers but essentially all the work is done by Wendy herself.
Named after her late father the Frost Foundation does not donate money but aims to raise funds to buy equipment.
The organisation donates items such as wheelchairs, special buggies and other pieces of equipment that will help a child and its family.
She said, “When I first heard I had been nominated for the award of Woman of the Year I was very surprised and very excited.
“When my name was called on Saturday as the winner I was truly blown away
“Reading about the other inspirational nominees in the category I was honoured just to be included with them but to actually win was an amazing experience.
“Thank you for recognising my charity work, I am very passionate to be able to help local disadvantaged children.”
Wendy was presented the award by Asjad Hussain of AMT Lawyers.
