According to a survey conducted by Asian Image the following were the most popular North West spots to go on Eid.
1 Wilmslow Road
Still numbero uno despite the amount of police and restrictions in place.
It's gone a bit downhill since the glory days but the stretch continues to attract the masses from across the country. The restaurants and take-aways are not really the attraction. The problem is the curry corridor is mind-numbingley boring now....very boring.

2 Trafford Centre
Catching up fast and you can bet your life that this time next year it will be top of the pile. The Trafford Centre is perfect for the Eid party. There's loads of shops, a cinema and most importantly - it is dry! Please please please fellas don't screw this place up too. The staff are so nice and so is the Nando's?
3 Blackpool
The great seaside resort has had it's day and has sadly been overtaken on the list. In the summer sizzlers of the eighties Blackpool the number one destination on Eid.
Oh the slot machines and rides still attract Eid revellers but it doesn't have that same buzz to it anymore. Maybe if the weather was a bit better we would make an effort but now even my granma's thinks twice.
4 City Centre, Manchester
A good old wander through a city centre on Eid never did anyone any harm. Now they have a lot more going on and it has pushed it's way up the list.
Maybe its the shops that do it or the fact that there are loads of nooks and crannies to hide in.
5 Whalley Range, Blackburn
Back when we were little nippers wearing blue slip-on shoes Whalley Range was the last place to go on Eid.
But then all of a sudden the world discovered this little stretch of shops. It became a mini Wilmslow Road for a while before they decided to put all the traffic calming measures up.
6 Capitol Centre Preston
When they build these places they know full well that on Eid it's going to be packed. This little centre gets quite busy for a while before people realise there are better places to go. The bowling alley and that place where you can bet your Eid money always prove really popular
7 Middlebrook Retail Park, Bolton
Apparently people go here on Eid because it has an array of top shops and really comfy seats in the Cinema. And of course it is on the way to somewhere more interesting and when you have time to kill that is very important.
8 Peel Retail Park, Blackburn
Another smallish retail centre that gets its fair share of the crowd and may well be further up the list next year. The cinema is great. The bowling alley can get quite busy as the centre is within walking distance of the town centre.
9 Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre, Manchester
Just off the A34 (Kingsway) boy they got loads on going at this place. There's a Laser Quest, Nando's, Cinema and a bowling alley...and stuff for kids. Oh and if you feel lucky the Buckingham Bingo is great.
10 Park 66, Bury
A real popular spot for those wanting to be a little secretive. A couple of restaurants, a cinema, the odd slot machine...the Eid reveller never had it so good.
The most popular things to do on Eid day include Staying at Home' or Going to a restaurant'. Destinations not on the list because they are not in the North West include...Bradford, Star City Birmingham, Leicester and London.
