The Bolton Society of Chartered Accountants (BSCA) held its annual dinner at the Reebok Stadium.
During the dinner the President Rob Stafford presented the BSCA Outstanding Achievement Award 2011 to Tasneem Kotwal.
This award celebrates the achievements of the most outstanding accountancy student from the University of Bolton.
Tasneem demonstrated high determination on the road to academic success when four years ago she took her first steps to a career in accountancy with a degree course.
Being a mother of two young boys, she strived to achieve the best marks by studying day and night and her hard work paid off when she achieved a first class degree.
Tasneem realises that being a successful student involves much more than reading, writing and arithmetic, “One must be able to analyse and evaluate information, communicate well with others, be a responsible decision maker as well as being an ethical individual who is committed to family, community and colleagues.”
The Bolton Society of Chartered Accountants annual dinner was sponsored by NatWest Commercial Banking and Leonard Curtis.
The black tie event, which included a guest speech by Alan Cleary, also included a silent auction in aid of Bolton Lads & Girls Club.
