Pakistani label Generation have launched a plus size campaign for their Spring collection.
The campaign featuring plus sized models has been hailed as 'commendable.'
Fans of the brand responded positively on social media
Elsa Imdad Hussain said, "I just love how Generation portrays its designs against body shaming. Such a wonderful trend!
Faqiha posted,"Hats off to you guys for doing what many brands cannot. You've brought forward the many faces of feminine grace and shattered so many boundaries in doing so.
"You've shown the beauty of age, willfulness and character of a woman's persona, and challenge to all minds to accept the nontraditional. It's beautiful! Stay strong!"
Almas said, "Good to see an obese model. Women forty plus are often obese in Pakistan and felt extremely ashamed when they did not fit into any pret sizes. Thank God that Generation store is catering to those women too.
"I have worn Generation since I was fifty three kgs and now at 80 kgs I can find something for myself there again. "
Umme Hafsa posted, "We all have over weight mothers or aunts or any elder or younger women around us who are dear to us ...don't they have a right to look good or cant they model for a reputed brand...when we call this society stereotypical we forget that we also have the same mindset...we must appreciate an initiative taken by them."
Sadia said, "Beautiful shirt at least somebody realised that fatty persons also have some place in fashion industry ."
