An 'Islamic Baby Cot Mobile' which plays non instrumental bed time lullabies, Quran and prayers has been launched by a Preston man.

The bed time lullabies are written by a British Muslim writer and prayed by local Muslim children.

The MiniMuslims cot mobile plays no music or instruments whatsoever in a bid to comply with Islamic rules governing music.

The product was manufactured in China and designed in the UK by Mubarak.

He said, “I came up with the idea from putting my child to sleep one night who wouldn't sleep without listening to the Quran on my phone.

"Some parents don't want to put their child to sleep while listening to musical instruments before bed time, it doesn't help with calming the child to sleep."

“There is an Islamic ruling which forbids listening to music, we understand why Islam has forbid Muslims from listening to music"

“The MiniMuslims product range are all Shariah compliant.”

The cot mobile itself retails at £25 and is said to the first of its kind in the world.

There will be many products which will be released under the MiniMuslims brand.

Mubarak added, “The Islamic range in kids toys is quite limited at the moment with few choices. Although this project took a while, I am currently working on other ideas.

“We have produced a limited amount at the moment but the product has picked up pretty well and we have started getting a lot of orders through the website www.minimuslims.co.uk.”

There is currently only one design available.
