A business boosted a local children’s charity by providing a free décor service worth almost £4,000 for a recent event.

Lavish Weddings Ltd sponsored the event held by children’s charity, Include Me TOO, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.

Jenny Sharma, managing director of Lavish Weddings Ltd, said they were delighted to step in and help a great cause. “As a local business we are passionate about working with inspiring local causes like Include Me TOO.

“We were approached just two weeks prior to the event to provide the décor for it and with over 450 guests expected to be attending we really wanted to impress.”

Lavish Weddings sourced, ordered and set up a banqueting suite of 45 tables with high end crystal chandelier centre pieces, chair covers and royal blue sashes with buckles fitting in with the ‘Blue Tie event’ theme which highlights the charity’s support for Disabled Children’s Rights.

“We’re extremely pleased that we managed to pull it out of the bag and decorate the banqueting suite to a super high quality in such a short time.”

The event, hosted by former Eastenders actress Nina Wadia, and Hollywood star Winston Ellis, was the organisation’s first ever ‘National Community Inspiration Awards for Disabled Children, Young People and their Families’.

The occasion provided disabled children with a national platform to have their abilities celebrated and their families the opportunity to share their journeys of increasing the awareness and understanding of disability.

Parmi Dheensa, Founder and Executive Director of Include Me TOO, said: “We’re delighted that Lavish Weddings were able to support Include Me TOO in such a short space of time. They did a fantastic job and we are extremely grateful for their generosity, professionalism and efficiency throughout the event.

“The feedback we received on the night was amazing. Our guests enjoyed everything from the set up and the hosts to the entertainment and the heart warming stories.”

Jenny added: “Giving something back to the community is important to Lavish Weddings and we’re extremely proud of our involvement with Include Me TOO.

“We are committed to continuing our charity work. The more Lavish Weddings grows, the more we’ll put back.”
