Cook and Indi’s World Buffet will open its biggest outlet in Glasgow to date, when it completes the transformation of the former Harry Ramsden’s flagship outlet into its latest eatery.

The latest Cook and Indi’s World Buffet – its third in Glasgow and the seventh in the fast growing chain – will cater for some 200 diners when it opens in late October opposite the Springfield Quay at 251 Paisley Road,.

Cook Gill, co-founder of the restaurant, said: “Securing such landmark premises on such a prominent location represents a tremendous coup for our expanding chain and signals our ambitions to take our pioneering concept to the next stage of its development.

“Our new Glasgow restaurant will offer diners even more dishes from around the world and feature an extensive live buffet laden with fresh produce, including a special Halal meat counter.

“A live grill will feature everything from Piri Piri chicken to BBQ beef burgers – whilst the heritage of the site will be acknowledged by the creation of a special ‘Harry’s Fish & Chips’ counter. So former diners need not worry: not only will they still be able to get fantastic fresh fish and chips – but they can get the world on a plate at the same time at the same outlet!”

With a variety of dishes ranging from pizza to pastas, starters to salads, sushi to noodles and pakoras to curries, Cook and Indi’s World Buffet offers seven different cuisines (Indian, Japanese, Sushi, Chinese, Italian, Spanish and Mexican) and over 100 dishes.

And its fixed price system, which starts from just £5.99, means that diners can eat as much as they want – whether double or triple helpings – which appeals to everyone, children and pensioner alike.

“The idea behind our World Buffet is to bring together various cuisines from different parts of the world so that when families are dining out there’s no need for an argument about which restaurant to go to because we offer food to suit everyone’s tastes!” said Gill.
