Asons Solicitors have added to their list of growing accolades by winning the ‘Customer First’ category at the Red Ribbon Family Business Awards 2014.

Recent client service innovations and changes at Asons, including the introduction of an entirely new ‘client services’ department, gave employees the tools they needed to further improve their dedication to customer service, beating off the efforts of fellow contenders to place 1st in the category.

The Red Ribbon Awards are held annually to reward and recognise successful family run businesses throughout the UK.

Red Ribbon Awards spokesperson, Anita Brightley-Hodges, of the Family Business Place organisation, said: “This year has been another record-breaking year for Red Ribbon Award entries. We have been overwhelmed by the quality and variety of the nominations, which just goes to prove there are some real hidden gems out there who deserve to be recognised.”

The Bolton based firm were given a commendation for ‘Family Business of the Year’, placing them as a runner-up in a hard-fought category and they were also named as finalists in the ‘Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Fastest Growing Business’ categories.

Sarah Ainscough, Head of HR, and Danielle Ahmed, Legal Assistant, received the awards on behalf of Asons Solicitors at the prestigious Goldsmiths’ Hall, London on June 20th.

Speaking on her attendance at the event, Sarah Ainscough said, “It was interesting to meet so many intelligent and forward-thinking people.”

After being announced as the winners, both Miss Ainscough and Mrs Ahmed took to the stage to deliver a short speech on how honoured Asons were to be recognised, through both the nominations and the award itself.

Asons’ CEO Imran Akram added, “It’s fantastic to be nominated for, and to win an award. We work hard to stand out, to be different, and it’s resulted in success.

"But, it’s different when someone outside of the business recognises your achievements - it makes it more real somehow. It’s given us a lot of positive energy, you can really feel it around the office. Everyone likes a pat on the back when they’ve done well, and for us, winning this award is a reminder that day in, day out, we do a great job. We’re very grateful.”
