Rushanara Ali MP was maong the chief guests at the opening of the new indi.go restaurant.
Last night saw the opening of indi.go, bringing traditional Indian street food to its location at Rich Mix on Bethnal Green Rd, E1.
In attendance were Locals, singer Leo ‘The Lion’ Ihenacho, TV personality Josh Smith, comedian Salman Malik, alongside names from Asian cinema, Munsur Ali, Dilruba Yasmeen Ruhee and Hassan Khan.
Guests were treated to street food canapés, cocktails, with music from celebrated DJ Ritu. Rushanara Ali, MP for Bethnal Green & Bow, thanked indi.go for the contribution it had already made to the local community, including the creation of a number of new jobs, and remarked that this latest opening augured well for future expansion on the indi.go brand.
The a la carte fusion menu combines traditional street dishes, with much loved dishes, like lamb jalfrezi and chicken korma.
Rich Mix is a charity and social enterprise that offers live music, film, dance, theatre, comedy, spoken word and a range of creative activities for people of all ages.
Indi.go has four additional restaurants, at Westfield London, Westfield Stratford City, Blue Water, and sister restaurant, Scarlet Dot at Spitalfields.
