A charity-run gym and fitness centre in Slough is set to offer free use of the gym to non-members to celebrate National Fitness Day.

Absolutely Fitness, based at the Slough Trading Estate, will also waive its admin fee for anyone who signs up for a membership on the day. Gym challenges and games will be on offer throughout the day.

Held on September 26, National Fitness Day encourages people across the UK to celebrate the fun of keeping fit and healthy as well as highlighting the role physical activity plays across the UK.

Chris Hotton, club manager at Absolutely Fitness Slough, said, “We love getting involved in National Fitness Day as it’s a lot of fun but also helps to raise awareness of the importance of leading a healthier and more active lifestyle.

“This year we will have a superhero theme with all our staff dressing up, and any of our existing members who come dressed up as a superhero will get their next month free.

“We’re one of the only charity run UK gyms, meaning that the money our members pay towards getting fit, goes back into the community and helps vulnerable groups in society enjoy a new experience, have fun and socialise.”
