A WOMAN suffered neck injuries and was taken to hospital after a driver lost control of their car, flipping it onto its side in a Blackburn street.
Eyewitnesses saw a silver Ford Focus lying on its passenger side in Granville Road, at around 7.40pm on Wednesday, August 1.
Camera phone images show the car blocking off the middle of the road, between Leamington Road and Lynwood Road.
Broken glass from the car's windows can be seen on the floor.
A blue Volkswagen Polo was seen with brake light damage parked nearby.
Officers were called to the scene and a police van blocked off the road while the damage was cleared.
Parked cars were also damaged in the crash in the Corporation Park area of the town.
A police spokesman said they were called after it was reported a car had rolled over.
A North West Ambulance spokesman said: "Paramedics were called to Granville Road in Blackburn at 7.45pm.
"A woman suffered neck injuries and was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
"The injuries did not appear to be life threatening."
This incident took place very close to the spot where a Transdev bus went through a low wall and crashed into the Masjid e Anwaar mosque in June 2015.
At the time three people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to hospital.
