A £270,000 Lamborghini supercar has been found abandoned in the outside lane of one of the region's busiest motorways.

The driver of the 200mph sports car left it at a 90 degree angle to oncoming traffic on the M62.

Luckily, the crash - which left the nose of the car embedded in the crash barrier - happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Had the Lamborghini been abandoned at rush hour the damage could have been much worse.
