Muslims in Preston are opening their doors to the wider community this Sunday.

Salaam Masjid in Fulwood, Preston will be hosting a Ramadan talk and exhibition for the second year running.

Arabic coffee and dates will be served and visitors will experience state of the art facilities at the mosque, with it's architectural emphasis on light and space.

The Imam of the mosque, Molana Amjad said: "The event was a huge success last year and thanks to Allah we're expecting even more people this year. We have a very close relationship with the local community and especially the churches. I'm very much looking forward to welcoming everyone."

Ramadhan is the 9th month of the Islamic Calendar when Muslims do not eat or drink from dawn to sunset.

The Ramadhan event will be held on Sunday 13th from 11am to 3pm at Watling Street Road, PR2 8EA. Parking is at Bhailok Square.
