A prisoner in a Karachi jail made a special request when his daughter was due to get married.
Afraid that he would miss his daughter’s wedding, the prisoner asked if he would be permitted to witness the wedding.
The staff at Malir Jail allowed the bride and groom to get married within the jail in the presence of the bride’s father.
The Superintendent of Malir Jail gave his blessings to the newly wed couple with policemen and guards joining in the celebrations and dancing in happiness.
Speaking to Dunya News from inside the prison, the father said, “I couldn’t give my daughter away at her wedding. I didn’t know the prison would arrange such an amazing wedding for my daughter.”
