The family of Rochdale mother Rahman Begum have paid an emotional tribute to her describing her as the 'most caring, polite and respectful woman to ever come across.'

Shortly before 1.20pm on Wednesday 7 February 2018 police were called to Clement Royds Street, Rochdale by the ambulance service after a woman had been found with multiple stab wounds.

When emergency services attended, sadly they found the body of 46-year-old Rahman Begum.

A man has been charged with her murder.

In tribute to the much-loved mother, sister, aunty and best friend, the family said: “Our beautiful innocent mother’s life has been taken away from us and has left us all broken into bits.

“She was the most precious and closest person we had. She was not only a mother, she was also our best friend, sister and aunty.

“She never ever put herself before the children. She was the most caring, polite and respectful woman to ever come across.

“Her children meant the world to her. She would always be smiling and laughing no matter what the situation was. We are so proud to call her our mother, now all we have left is the beautiful moments and memories we shared with her.

“She has given us all the courage and strength to keep us going. We will miss you and always love you.

“You will be missed by all your family, friends and relatives”
