Fundraisers raised an incredible £2,300.60 for the East Lancashire Hospice.

At least twice a year you may have seen the fundraising group holding buckets in The Mall shopping centre, Blackburn.

This summer was no exception, with the group managing to stay the full day despite the fact that many were fasting.

Hospice fundraising manager, Sharon Crymble, said: “The time and effort people give to the hospice is incredible and Suleman and friends are no exception.

“Suleman Khonat has been a supporter for many years which has really helped East Lancashire Hospice to get the message out to people of what a difference it makes, either in the hospice or in the patients own home.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who gave their time to raise such a fantastic amount.”

Cllr Khonat said: “It was great working alongside like minded family and friends.

“We do a fantastic job in Blackburn for the East Lancs Hospice and it was a pleasure too to meet new friends.”

“The hospice provides a fantastic facilities for patients with life limiting illnesses, hence it is extremely important to keep up with the donations however small, which enables them to provide the highest standards of caring and service.

“I would like to thank each and everyone who donated towards the fantastic amount.”
