MP Keith Vaz has called for a "full inquiry" into the death of an 11-year-old girl at a theme park.
The Labour MP said serious questions remained after the death of constituent Evha Jannath, who died at the Drayton Manor theme park in Tamworth last month.
Speaking during the Queen's Speech debate in the Commons, the Leicester East MP praised the work of the police and the Health and Safety Executive in investigating the tragedy so far.
"But questions remain, serious questions about the rides that young people take on theme parks at places like Drayton Manor and elsewhere," Mr Vaz said.
"We will need a full inquiry into what has happened to understand how it happened and to prevent it happening to young children in the future."
Evha died from chest injuries after being taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital from the theme park near Tamworth on May 9.
She was one of a party of children on a school trip to the park from Leicester's Jameah Girls Academy.
An inquest into her death is due to take place in November.
