Muslim groups and charities have launched campaigns to help the victims affected by the events in the Manchester Arena.
MEND (Muslim Engagement and Development) have set up a ‘Muslims For Manchester Victims’ Just Giving Fundraising Page.
Donations they say will be used to financially assist the families of those affected by this tragedy.
Although MEND have set up this fund, the group says it will appoint a leading local law or accountancy firm to administer and distribute all funds.
Dr Shazad Amin, CEO of MEND said “It is a fundamental part of our faith to help those in need, irrespective of their background. The Muslim community stands shoulder to shoulder with victims (and their families) of these atrocities."
Human Appeal, have started a page called “Muslims for Manchester” in the hope of raising funds for the victims of Monday night’s attacks.
The chief executive of Human Appeal, Othman Moqbel said, “As a Muslim, as a Mancunian and as a father, I want the victims and their families of last night's attack to know that my prayers, the prayers of everyone at Human Appeal and the prayers of Manchester’s Muslim community are with them.
"Although the details are currently unclear, this is a despicable and abhorrent attack targeting innocent members of our community."
