A BRITISH Pakistani family have appealed for an end to their terror after racist abuse resulted in a broken limb.

The attack happened at around 6pm on Tuesday, November 15 in the Hunters Way area of Cippenham.

The family, who have asked not to be named, received a ring at the door and the husband, 40, answered it while his wife, 39, was with their young children aged seven and ten.

When the man answered, he found a group of 13 or 14 year old boys on his lawn and they began hurling racist abuse at him.

One of the boys smacked the man to the ground with a large stick, with the impact of the fall breaking his arm in two places.

The teens launched another volley of abuse at the man while he lay on the ground in agony before they fled.

The self-employed business consultant required surgery which was carried out the next day and is now unable to work or drive for six weeks.

The trouble started in May this year when the mother was racially abused by the group and the police issued the minors with a warning.

The police warned the group again in July when they intimidated the family by coming on to their property while the children were playing outside.

The abuse and intimidation then ceased for four months until the gang returned to wreak havoc on the family's doorstep.

The woman believes the attack was premeditated and was possibly revenge for the family going to the police.

She said: "We're living in fear. Everyday trips are very terrifying, we can never be one hundred per cent sure we are safe.

"Our children are traumatised and afraid to go to school.

"We really underestimated how far these kids would go, our lives have been turned upside down."

Police are investigating the assault but have made no arrests.
