An incredible £180,000 raised for charity at the 16th annual Asian Achievers Awards
As well as honouring Asian talent, the event held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, on Park Lane helped to raise funds for the Indian Ocean Disaster Relief.
Mr CB Patel, Publisher/Editor, ABPL Group said, “It makes me very proud to give these people a platform to be recognised for their hard work and remarkable contributions to society and the community. I am also very overwhelmed with the generosity of our guests who helped to raise £180,000 for our charity partner and I want to thank everyone who donated and bid at the auction.”
Farrah Storr, Editor, Cosmopolitan UK magazine and co-host for the evening said: “I’m delighted to be here this evening at The Asian Achievers Awards, because I think awards like this are so crucial, particularly for setting role models for young people and some of the shortlisted candidates and winners are exceptional.
"I think without awards like this people wouldn’t really have anything to look or aspire to, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of it this evening.”
