Detectives from the Met Police counter terrorism command are continuing to investigate the death of an Edgware doctor.


Dr Imran Farooq was attacked and killed six years ago today (Sep 16).
Dr Farooq, 50, was stabbed outside his home in Green Lane, Edgware shortly before 5.30pm on Thursday September 16 2010.


He died as a result of multiple stab wounds and blunt trauma to the head.
A five-and-a-half inch bladed kitchen knife and a house brick used in the attack were found at the scene.

Police officers have spoken to 4,636 people, reviewed 7,801 documents, viewed 4,433 exhibits and followed up 2,443 lines of enquiry.


Officers have been in regular contact with the Pakistani authorities to gather evidence in the case.


They believe that Dr Farooq's murder would have required careful planning and help from others.


Moshin Ali Syed, 31, a Pakistani national who was in the UK between February 2010 and September 16, 2010 is wanted by police for enquiries.
Muhammad Kashif Khan Kamran, 37, also a Pakistani national is wanted by police.


He was in the UK between early September 2010 and September 16, 2010.
