A CRASH involving three vehicles on Sunday escalated into a public order incident as a large group of young men gathered at the scene on Leeds Road, Bradford.

Two men have now been charged with affray over the incident.

A 28-year-old from Keighley and an 18-year-old from Bradford will appear in Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on September 22 to answer the charges.

Witnesses described a fight taking place shortly after a crash, which is believed to have involved a Subaru Impreza, a Toyota Avensis and a parked van.

The incident took place at the junction of Upper Seymour Street and Leeds Road.

Witnesses said that friends and relatives of those involved in the accident had attended the scene which had let to a heated confrontation and scuffling.

A passer-by, who stopped to film the accident, Dilkarom Choudhury, claimed that a man had punched him three times in face for taking photographs.

The incident, which lasted around an hour, was attended by several police cars and vans.

No-one was available to comment from West Yorkshire Police.
