A PASSENGER in a car shouted racist abuse at two young boys and then threw a Pot Noodle at them as they walked home from a mosque.
Blackburn magistrates heard Luke Croft had previously thrown a brick at Asian school children.
And on the day he was sentenced for that offence, just three days before the latest incident, he posted on his Facebook page a racist message about one of the magistrates.
“There were other references on his Facebook page that would lead the court to the conclusion that this man is a racist,” said Scott Ainge, prosecuting.
Croft, 18, of Wood Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated assault. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Ordering the report, the chairman of the magistrates said his “ranting and raving” on Facebook had been disgusting and disgraceful and condemned the latest offence as unforgiveable.
“It was absolutely appalling and if it was up to us you would go to prison today,” said the chairman. “The boys were aged eight and 10 and they didn’t deserve this.
“There is no doubt this crosses the custody threshold.”
