A pre-dawn stampede has killed 10 people at a temple in central India.
The stampede happened early today in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, said SR Yadav, Satna's deputy superintendent of police.
Deadly stampedes are fairly common during India's often-chaotic religious gatherings and festivals, where large crowds gather in small areas with few safety or crowd control measures.
