How in 2014 can a national British newspaper feature an article so distasteful and so anti-Muslim is beyond me.

Richard Littlejohn article entitled ‘Jolly Jihadi Boy's Outing to Legoland’ must go down as one of the worst anti-Muslim pieces to be featured in a national newspaper.

And we have seen a fair few over the years.

We all know that that he holds views that many people may not agree with. And we know the newspaper tends to feature articles that may not be to everyone's liking.

But this really is quite ridiculous.

This is not some rag tag newspaper we are talking about. This is a respected national newspaper with a very big readership.

What possessed Littlejohn to actually use every single stereotypical view of Muslims in one piece?

After criticising a park for being hired to a Muslim group Littlejohn then ‘imagines’ what the day might be like.

It includes references such as: “Rear coach packed with explosives stops in Parliament Square. As Big Ben strikes ten, driver will blow himself up, en route to Paradise, where 72 virgins await.”

And “Anyone caught attempting to smuggle in a Mars Bar or kofti kebab under their burka will be executed."

And of course…”Community chanting. Ram Jam Choudary leads the family funsters in a popular chorus of ‘Death to America, Death to the Jews!’ And, “Practical demonstration on how to make an execution block out of Lego, for use when making internet videos showing beheading of infidels and apostates.”

The sheer stupidity of this article is evident in how even readers of the Daily Mail felt a little ashamed that this had actually gone to print.

The article is nothing more than a rant against Muslims.

If we were to actually replace each and every reference to the word ‘Muslim’ with the word ‘Jewish’ then this article may get Richard Littlejohn arrested for preaching hatred.

It would be anti-Semitic and quite rightly so. I would be the first in line to ask for such an article to be removed.

As it is we really are powerless.

Littlejohn can print this and yes of course there will be a level of uproar but the newspaper will not apologise for having printed such utter nonsense.

We will not have a retraction from Littlejohn himself because let us face it is acceptable to be anti-Muslim.

What is shocking though is that Littlejohn would find this a little bit of a laugh and a joke.

‘Muslims can't take a joke’ – ‘relax it is all just good British humour written in jest’.

Yes, of course it is.

The only big joke here is you Mr Richard Littlejohn.
