There has been outrage at suggestions that a Muslim woman refused to have a picture taken for her passport.
The unidentified woman said it would infringe her religious beliefs if she had a picture of her face taken and it was included in her passport for someone else to gawk at.
“I do not want anyone else apart from my husband to see my face.”
Following lengthy discussions and a legal challenge the woman will have to have her picture taken for her passport.
But due to legal restrictions only her husband will be permitted to glance at the passport when she travels anywhere.
The news follows the incident recently where a woman refused to remove her veil in court.
That fanatic was finally convicted of witness intimidation.
