The artwork of Devizes School pupil Joseph Baross will be seen far and wide.

Joseph, 15, was among about 20 Year 10 students who helped design a new van graphic for Kennet Sign and Display.

Company boss Gavin Way judged the designs and chose Joseph’s, which shows a squirrel eating in a wood.

Mr Way said: “I got a new van and wanted something original to go on it and thought it would be great to encourage the students to think about how design is used in the real world.

“Joseph’s design was in keeping with the company’s branding and was the most eyecatching.”

The image has gone on two of the company’s vans.

Tim Woodman, head of design and technology at Devizes School, said: “It has been a wonderful opportunity to work closely with Kennet Sign and Display on the competition with my Year 10 design and technology graphic products students.

“They really enjoyed the task of designing the new artwork for the van and to work on a real-life design situation.”
