This is a homage to Amitabh Bachchan and the iconic films of the 70's.
The keen observers among you out there (and those of you who misspent their 70's heydays) will have a field day recognising all the movie references that this film is littered with.
Not only that, the entire film has a plot line that could have been lifted straight out of an Amitabh Bachchan film from that era. Good fun!
