Eshaan Akbar makes his Edinburgh Festival with 'Not For Prophet'.
In the show he talks about the cultural expectations associated with English being his fourth language after Urdu, Bengali and Hindi, including flirting with the idea of becoming a professional Bollywood dance choreographer.
He also talks about his journey from being a learned and devout Muslim to a bacon eating, alcohol-swilling non-Muslim!

Since starting performing comedy in 2014 he has been crowned the Piccadilly Comedy Club Comedian of the Year 2016 been in the finals of "So You Think You're Funny 2014" and "Laughing Horse 2014" been tour support for Dane Baptiste and warm-up for Micky Flanagan and Hal Cruttenden and performed at Latitude, Brownstock and many other festivals.

He been seen on BBC Asian Network Comedy Night (BBC iPlayer) and heard on BBC Radio 4 Xtra (BBC New Comedy Awards).
He recently appeared in the pilot of ‘The Mash Report’ for BBC 2, which has recently been commissioned alongside Nish Kumar.
