This Saturday the Market Place in Bolton will play host to the wonders of India.

From 12 - 4pm customers can enjoy an afternoon of traditional Indian activities organised by The Sakhi Group to raise funds for Bolton Hospice.

Crowds will be wowed by a whole host of live performances including Bollywood dancers who will be teaching their moves to the beautiful Miss Bolton and Bury 2015/2016 and Miss Bury 2014/2015 who will go head to head in a dance-off.

There will be a host of traditional Indian cuisine to tickle the taste buds and beautiful arts and crafts, jewellery and textile stalls including henna and glitter tattoos, face painting, brooch and bracelet making plus free workshops for children.

Nikki Wilson-Cook, Centre Manager at Market Place said, “We are very excited to play a part in celebrating the Indian culture and presence here in Bolton. People can get involved in many different types of fantastic entertainment throughout the afternoon. This event is not to be missed. ”
