A youth group has organised a 'Drive for Justice Demonstration' to highlight the apparent bias on the coverage of Palestine and Israel on the BBC.

A vehicle convoy organised by 'Youth on a Mission' will start at 12pm on Saturday 12 July at Corporation Park, Preston New Road, Blackburn and head toward BBC Media City, Manchester.

Upon arrival, a static demonstration will be held at the BBC HQ.

A statement from the group says, " The BBC, an organisation funded by us as taxpayers, prides itself on painting a fair and unbiased picture of events. However, we believe the BBC is biased in its reporting.

"Just last week, since the sad news of the three Israeli teenagers being murdered came to light, the media has awoken; with the BBC in particular coming to the forefront.

"There is no doubt whatsoever that those responsible for such terrible crimes have no place in society.

"However, we cannot help but feel outraged that the media coverage for this crime sits far ahead of the thousands murdered since the illegal occupancy in Gaza."
