One of musical theatre’s most famed and acclaimed shows will celebrate 30 years in Llandudno this summer.

Tickets are on sale now for the 30th anniversary UK Tour of Fame – The Musical, starring Keith Jack, Mica Paris and Jorgie Porter. Based on the phenomenal 1980 film of the same name, Fame – The Musical is the international smash-hit sensation following the lives of students at New York’s High School For The Performing Arts as they navigate their way, singing and dancing, through the tumultuous highs and lows of life to a bittersweet, yet uplifting, triumph, evolving from star-struck pupils to superstars.

The increasingly relevant story continues to win over new audiences, tackling the enduringly vital issues that confront young people – all told with an Oscar-winning title song, a cast of outstanding dancers, singers, musicians and rappers.

The role of Nick Piazza will be brought to life once again by theatre veteran Jack, who in an instance of art imitating life was thrust into the spotlight on his own journey to stardom as runner-up for the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do. Joining Jack as Miss Sherman is Paris, one of the UK’s most respected female singers with top 10 hit singles and albums worldwide spanning her own 30 years in showbiz, and former Hollyoaks actress Porter as Iris Kelly. As Theresa McQueen, Porter’s nominations include best serial drama performance at the National Television Awards and best newcomer at the British Soap Awards, as well as Miss Croft in BBC1’s highly acclaimed remake of Are You Being Served? and a finalist on the seventh series of ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

The show runs at Venue Cymru from August 6-11 at 7.30pm with additional 2.30pm showings on August 8 and 11. Tickets range from £16 to £41, available from venuecymru.co.uk or 01492 872000.
