Amar Sandhu is set to unleash his debut single, a state side Punjabi collaboration.

'Double Addi' is an awesome mix of Punjabi and EDM, a feel good dance floor anthem which sees Amar Sandhu link up with the super cool Mickey Singh for double trouble.

He said, "The song was actually born a couple of years ago. DJ 2Nyce had shown me a record by a dance act called Kaskade that I really vibed to it right away. While studying for finals I kept humming to it until I just had to take a break and went straight to my mic and started recording.

"2nyce made a mix of it and we shared it with Mickey and that's where the collaboration came in. 'Double Addi' has a very uncanny style, a mix of EDM and Punjabi, the only expectation I have is for people to get on the dance floor and have this song on repeat on their iTunes!"

Amar Sandhu hails from Dallas, USA and from a young age started learning music from Kirtan, learning the tabla at his local gurdwara.

Amar has a strong connection to Punjabi music, having grown up being immersed in the sound.

His musical influences are naturally diverse, with Western and urban influences such as the Ryan Leslie meaning that Amar's music is sure to be a unique fusion of contemporary sounds.

The release of 'Double Addi' is part of a hat-trick of releases from CMMNWLTH artists this month, with Pakistani pop star Asim Azhar set to release his next single 'Maahi Aaja' on 8 August and the recently signed British singer Zack Knight releasing his collaboration with American R&B talent Shad Star 'Making Em Mad'.
