The Bagri Foundation London & Birmingham Indian Film Festivals attracted some of the worlds leading actors.

The festival showcased films across leading cinemas in London and Birmingham - including the BFI Southbank to the Midlands Arts Centre. 

The Black Prince was at the heart of a line-up that celebrates the thriving relationship between UK-India Year of Culture.

The London premiere saw members of the esteemed cast including Satinder Sartaaj, Ameet Chana, Leanne Joyce, Rup Magon, Lyndon Ogbourne, Sophie Stevens and Ranjit Shudh in attendance. 

Also attending were Ashutosh Gowariker (director of Academy Award nominated film Lagaan), British actress Meera Syal CBE, director Gurinder Chadha OBE, Lord and Lady Desai, Lord Gadhia, Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh amongst others in London.

The Birmingham Opening Night saw Satinder Sartaaj, Ameet Chana and Rup Magon attend the premiere of THE BLACK PRINCE in Birmingham, which began with a special reception at the fine-dining Indian restaurant Varanasi.

Hosted by the festival’s ambassadors BBC WM presenters Sunny and Shay, attendees included Dr Aman Puri, Consul General of India, Cary Sawhney, Executive & Programming Director of The Bagri Foundation London and Birmingham Indian Film Festival, Symon Easton, Head of Cultural Development, Birmingham City Council amongst others. 

The stars of the Black Prince then graced the red carpet, where fans and media were waiting in anticipation to give them the warmest welcome. 

Other high profile personalities in attendance included Indian royalty and LVMH Head of Asia Tikka Shatrujit Singh, award-winning musicians Juggy D, and model Deana Uppal.
